15 July 2016

Mom, Hailey, Hailey’s mom, and I drove to New Orleans tonight to see Sarah McLachlan & Josh Groban in concert. Both of them were so wonderful! Josh is so cute & sweet. He’s such an awkward goober, and I love it! The weather was really nice, and the music was absolutely beautiful. Mom and I really enjoyed ourselves. It feels weird writing an entry for a single day – or a half-day – trip, but I figured, “Why not?” We’re home, so I’m gonna crash for the night. Until the next journey—–

6 July 2016

We’re leaving Austin today. Sadly, we started our day too late yesterday to go to San Antonio. Next time, perhaps? I got my magnet! I have A LOT of souvenirs, actually. That tends to happen with convention trips. Poor Andrés has been sick since Monday night. Hopefully, going back home will help him get better. It seems like exaggerated allergies. I’ll check in from home. —–

We’ve made it home safe. I can’t wait to start editing my videos! My mom & I are going to New Orleans for a concert in a couple of weeks. Until the next quest! —–

4 July 2016

It’s Independence Day! The rest of the convention was great! I saw the cosplay contest, we hung out with Tati, and we really had a blast. We also went to Pflugerville to see Margarita, Meli, and Andrés’s parents. We had sushi today and watched a terrible movie just now. We’ll probably explore downtown later, and we might head to San Antonio tomorrow. I tried some new gold lipstick today, and I kinda really like it. It took some getting used to, though. Austin is pretty cool. I still need to grab a magnet! Hopefully I can find a souvenir shop somewhere. I’ll check in again soon—–

2 July 2016

Andrés, Michael, and I drove to Austin, TX on Thursday, and yesterday was Day 1 of RTX. It’s been very fun so far! We had lunch yesterday at Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, which was very delicious. We then spent pretty much the whole day on the convention floor. Michael played Hearthstone for a King of the Hill tournament and placed 2nd overall with 7 consecutive wins. Andrés entered an arcade tournament and made it to the top 6 for the day. He’ll be able to compete on Sunday for a huge – I mean, HUGE cash prize. I think it’s $3000! I walked around and filmed the whole time, and I grabbed some merch. We all kinda crashed once we got back to our hotel room. I’m excited for today. We missed all the panels yesterday, but hopefully we can make it to some today. I mainly want to see the cosplay contest. I’ll check in again soon—–

10 June 2016

We went to San Antonio for a day, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw the Riverwalk, the Alamo, La Villita, and the Tower. We ate at Fuddrucker’s before driving back to Pflugerville. Andrés bought me a magnet of San Antonio, and Señora Jackie gave us one of the photos and a frame from the Tower of the Americas. We celebrated Memorial Day the next day with grilled burgers and hotdogs. We drove back to Dallas that night. Andrés and I ended up staying in Dallas longer than we originally intended, but we still enjoyed our time. We rented a car and drove home today, since Andrés’s parents won’t be coming to Baton Rouge until the 15th, and a flight or Greyhound was too expensive. I had fun in Dallas, but I’m glad to be home. It was a little cramped at the Aguilars’ place. Of course, with all the clutter, my house isn’t much better. 😆 Our next trip is to Austin for RTX and SGC in July. Until the next adventure—–

28 May 2016

We’re in Pflugerville at Margarita’s house. We just had lunch – tacos and enchiladas – and are resting at the house before going out to explore. I think we’re going to downtown Austin later, and tomorrow we’re going to San Antonio, since the traffic that direction was so bad today.

Andrés, Tati, and Señor Gabriel are watching a football match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. They’re tied 1-1 at 120:30 now.

Oh! I need to remember to grab a magnet each of Austin or Pflugerville and of San Antonio. I’ll write again later or tomorrow. We’ll see—–

26 May 2016

I slept through a lot of the day when we got to the Aguilars’ apartment on Tuesday, and again yesterday. Andrés, Tati, and I went to a drive-in theater last night to see Ratchet & Clank. It was so good! Today, Andrés and I drove around downtown, just to explore. We’re leaving tomorrow to spend the weekend with Margarita in Austin – or rather, Pflugerville. I’ve been recording video clips whenever I can, and hopefully I can remember to take more pictures, too.

OH! Also, Arda Wigs recently added a style that looks EXACTLY like Raven, so I get to keep my silver one in its current condition! Yay! I’ll write again tomorrow. Until then—–

24 May 2016

Andrés & I are at New Orleans International waiting to board our flight to Dallas. It’s 8:16 and we don’t start boarding until 9:25. We’ll be flying into Dallas/Lovefield. I’m debating whether to eat something before take-off. Last time I flew, I got sick on final descent without a barf bag, and the contents were the smoothie I had just before. Andrés is getting food, and then I’m going to search for available headphones – I’ve lost my white pair of buds. I’ll write again from Dallas—–

24 April 2016

Rachel & Zach’s wedding was beautiful! Rachel looked gorgeous, the food was delicious, there was music & dancing. Apparently today was Aunt Monica and Uncle Lenny’s 34th anniversary. Rachel planned that to happen! All night I kept thinking about my wedding, when it eventually happens. I cried a little when Rachel danced with her dad because, sadly, I will never be able to do that now. Oh well…

We sent off Rachel & Zach with sparklers at the end of the night. They’re going to Hawaii for their honeymoon! I think I want to honeymoon in Europe. I’ll figure it all out eventually. Lord knows I have plenty of time to think about it. We’re heading back home tomorrow. Until then—–
